S. Monique Craig
The Eye That Is Me
Book Cover Image

The Eye That Is Me is a collection of previously unpublished writings that reflect the passion and energy of an endlessly evolving spirit. The book includes early works such as Madness and American Pop, which are characteristic of Craig's beginnings as an angry teenager gripped by the dark worlds of punk, heavy metal and the Goth music scene. Craig's later works reflect the experience and maturity of one who has sought to uncover the keen understanding of the darker aspects of the soul. Cemetery and Eleventh Hour are examples of poetry written by a woman who is still angry and passionate, but with a greater appreciation of life's often confusing and complex characteristics.
